The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has handed Vallance Carruthers Coleman Priest, VCCP, its £3 million saturated fat brief as the first part of its wider healthier eating campaign after a four way pitch against Rainey Kelly, Farm and MCBD.
The campaign will raise awareness among consumers of the risks associated with high saturated fat intake and offer advice on how to cut down. The campaign is due to launch in early 2009.
James Brandon, Head of Marketing at the FSA said: "VCCP got the saturated fat brief and tackled it with enthusiasm. It's a complicated subject to communicate but we have some exciting work to produce."
Tom Henton, a Partner at VCCP said: "Winning this account is a real feather in our cap. The health of the nation is rapidly moving up the agenda and becoming one of the main issues of the day. We're delighted to be working with the FSA team."
The Food Standards Agency is an independent Government department set up by an Act of Parliament in 2000 to protect the public's health and consumer interests in relation to food.
